Terms and Conditions

Last updated: 5 June 2026

These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Moviemill platform, including all tools, services, software, content, and features made available by Moviemill (“Moviemill,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). By creating an account, saving a project, or otherwise continuing to use the Service beyond initial exploration, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. The Moviemill Service

Moviemill is an AI-assisted creative platform that enables users to develop, generate, and refine audiovisual works, including but not limited to story structures, scripts, scenes, dialogue, shots, images, and videos (collectively, “Works”).

Moviemill operates as a creative platform and publishing environment, not merely a private generation tool.

2. Eligibility and Accounts

You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of legal majority in your jurisdiction) to create an account.

You are responsible for all activity occurring under your account and for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials.

3. User Content and Ownership

3.1 Ownership

You retain ownership of the original content you create or input into Moviemill, subject to the licenses granted below. Moviemill does not claim ownership of your Works.

3.2 License Granted to Moviemill

By creating, saving, publishing, or otherwise submitting Works through the Service, you grant Moviemill a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free, sublicensable license to:

  • host, store, process, and reproduce the Works;
  • display, stream, and make the Works available to other users and viewers;
  • distribute the Works as part of the Moviemill platform or related services;
  • promote, feature, and showcase the Works (including excerpts, thumbnails, stills, or clips);
  • analyze the Works and related user interactions for quality improvement, analytics, and optimization of the Service.

This license applies by default to all Works created using the Service, unless otherwise designated as private through available platform settings.

3.3 Public Availability

Unless explicitly marked as private or restricted through platform features, Works created on Moviemill may be publicly viewable by other users or visitors.

Moviemill may curate, rank, recommend, or algorithmically surface Works based on engagement, quality signals, or editorial criteria.

4. Future Monetization and Platform Evolution

Moviemill may, now or in the future:

  • offer subscription-based access to platform content;
  • display advertising or sponsorships alongside Works;
  • offer curated programs, featured screenings, or promotional placements;
  • introduce revenue-sharing or commercial participation programs on an opt-in basis.

Participation in any monetization or revenue-sharing program will be governed by separate terms or agreements.

5. Analytics, Feedback, and Optimization

You acknowledge and agree that Moviemill may collect and analyze:

  • viewing behavior (including watch time, drop-off points, replays);
  • reactions, ratings, comments, and feedback;
  • interaction data at scene, shot, dialogue, or timestamp level.

This data may be used to:

  • improve AI models and creative tools;
  • generate performance metrics and insights;
  • inform curation and discovery;
  • optimize storytelling and production workflows.

6. Private and Professional Use

Moviemill may offer options to designate certain Works as private or restricted.

You are responsible for ensuring that your use of Moviemill complies with any third-party obligations, including client confidentiality, exclusivity agreements, or intellectual property restrictions.

Moviemill does not guarantee exclusivity unless explicitly agreed in writing.

7. Prohibited Content and Conduct

You may not use the Service to create or distribute content that is unlawful, infringing, abusive, defamatory, or otherwise violates applicable laws or third-party rights.

Moviemill reserves the right to remove or restrict content that violates these Terms.

8. Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time.

Moviemill may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms.

Licenses granted to Moviemill prior to termination will survive to the extent necessary to operate the platform and respect existing publications.

9. Disclaimer and Limitation of Liability

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available.”

Moviemill makes no guarantees regarding commercial success, audience reach, or creative outcomes.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Moviemill shall not be liable for indirect or consequential damages.

10. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Berlin, Germany.

11. Changes to Terms

Moviemill may update these Terms from time to time.

Material changes will be communicated, and continued use of the Service constitutes acceptance.
